Why sampling matters before bulk
For private-label and OEM makeup brushes, a physical sample is the only reliable way to judge bristle feel, density, ferrule finish and logo placement. Photos and CAD alone rarely capture softness or powder pickup.
A clear sampling process also reduces disputes later: both sides agree on a reference sample before mass production starts.
What to send with your inquiry
Share target brush types (or photos of references), preferred bristle family, handle material and colour, logo method, estimated annual volume and destination market. If you already sell a product, a competitor sample or your current tool helps us match performance more closely.
For foundation brushes, specify synthetic fibre only — animal hair is not appropriate for liquid or cream foundation application.
Typical timeline
After specifications and artwork are reasonably clear, quotation often follows within about one business day. Artwork alignment may take 1–3 days. Production-intent samples commonly take about 7–12 days, plus courier time to your door.
Bulk production after sample approval is often in the 25–35 day range depending on quantity, materials and packaging complexity. Always confirm the calendar on your project — peak seasons can extend schedules.
Sample cost and bulk credit
Sample charges depend on style complexity and materials. For many projects, approved sample fees can be credited against the bulk order of the same style. Courier costs are usually paid by the buyer unless otherwise agreed.
How many revision rounds are realistic
Minor adjustments (density, length, logo position) are normal. Major redesigns or new moulds add time and cost. Lock the commercial sample in writing (photos + written notes) before releasing bulk production.
