Private label makeup brushes: MOQ, logo and packaging checklist

Use this list when you email a China manufacturer—so you get a usable quote the first time.

1. Models

Which catalog SKUs or photos are the base?
Full set vs open-stock singles?
Any dual-ended or special shapes?

2. MOQ

Plan around 3,000 units per single-brush style and 1,000 per set / pouch style unless you have agreed a special project. Mixing many colours under one “style” may count as separate styles for production.

3. Handle, ferrule and bristles

Handle colour and material direction
Ferrule type/colour (e.g. aluminium options)
Fibre type—synthetic for most liquid/cream tools

4. Logo

Artwork in vector format when possible
Method: print, hot stamp, laser (depends on handle)
Size and placement (one side / end of handle)

5. Packaging

Bulk only, logo pouch, or retail box?
Inserts, barcodes, language on pack (EN/ES etc.)
Ship-ready outer cartons for your importer

6. Sampling and budget

How many sample styles do you need?
Courier address and trade term for samples
Target bulk budget as EXW USD or landed cost (say which)

7. Logistics questions to ask

Can you ship to my country (US, UK, AU, LatAm, etc.)?
Who arranges freight after EXW pickup?
Need a packing list and commercial invoice format for customs?

8. Copy-paste email template

Hello, we are building a private label brush line for [country]. Interested in SKUs: [list]. Estimated quantity: [n] per style. We need logo on handle and [pouch/box]. Please confirm MOQ, sample lead time and EXW USD range. Destination: [city/port].
