Why shedding happens
Shedding often comes from insufficient adhesive penetration, rushed curing, poor fibre preparation or mechanical stress at the ferrule. Loose handles and ferrules usually point to crimping or bonding issues rather than the fibre itself.
Process controls that help
Multi-stage gluing and adequate curing time, consistent crimping pressure, in-line visual checks and batch pull tests all reduce field complaints. Logo method should match handle material so print failure is not confused with “quality” of the brush head.
What buyers can put in the PO
Define retained sample references, acceptable shedding test method if you have one, and whether pre-shipment inspection is required. Share retailer or marketplace failure history so the factory can emphasise the right checkpoints.
Communication when issues appear
Fast photo or video evidence, batch numbers and clear disposition (rework, sort, replace) matter more than blame. Agree the response channel — email and WhatsApp are both used in export projects — before the first shipment leaves.
